How We Got Here
In 2011, on the way home from church, co-founders Erin and Brent Weidemann embarked on a journey to find engaging Bible stories for girls that would help them form a meaningful connection to Scripture. They headed to the bookstore and discovered there was a serious lack of engaging, dynamic, and high-quality resources that made the stories of these positive female role models come alive for young readers.

The HEARD series is designed for pre-readers to early independents (ages 4-10).
Historically, the majority of teaching in faith-filled spaces has focused on the men in the BIble. The female heroes of God’s story deserve to be celebrated and elevated so that young readers can connect meaningfully with their messages and apply what they learn to life in the modern world. There isn’t a boys version of stories that put strong female leaders front and center. Those are the books our girls and boys need to read.
